Same for Hon David Cunliffe. I thought it was a standard convention – anyway I’ve changed it now.

It seems to be creeping more and more into soundbites from the Labour party politicians and their acolytes. </p> <p>Likewise the redundant use of the honorific 'Dr' when not referring to a medical doctor - Michael Cullen has a doctorate in political and economic history...I always think people who list their degrees on their business cards as buffoons.
