Over in Canberra it is almost time for TEDx - the full programme is here Sessions are split into 4 sections, Observe, Consider, Decide and then Transform – nice
Great to see that Nobel prize winning wine maker Brian Schmidt is doing another talk.
I was lucky enough to hear him at (video from) TEDxSydney earlier this year. BTW his Nobel wasn’t for making wine although I’m sure he has a nice drop there. Anyone who makes @cosmicpinot is a follow in my book.
The universe is getting faster ( not slowing down) and that suits me fine…

Other speakers that look more interesting than usual ( BTW all of them will be great)
Vic Peddemors Associate Professor Vic Peddemors leads the Shark Research Group for the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, providing scientific leadership for the group’s research and advisory effort.
Stephen Walker’s unique experience in seeing global poverty up close has motivated him to make a difference in a very different way.
Upulie Divisekera Molecular biologist and dinosaur freak
Great to see that Hannah Coleman Optimist against the odds (She doesn’t see herself as a disabled person, but a regular person with a disability) and Sally Richards Disability reform activist are both speaking today.
I was hoping to get across to Canberra myself but unfortunately couldn’t make it but I will be following along on twitter and on the live video stream at http://tedxcanberra.org/live/
Here are some key tweets live from the event as I hear them or make them
