I predict an unusual demand for baby sitters this coming Tuesday morning. Its going to be a bit hard to find a sitter at 2am but I think some parents are going to try. The reason is a live global event called TEDxChange which is being broadcast live to the web from NYC.
It is free to attend and the first 50 students to apply actually get free tickets to the TEDxAuckland event being held on Sunday 26th of September at Westlake Boys High on the North Shore in Auckland.

Thanks Jordi, I loved the idea & promise of Onebeep but the demo lost points for not actually working.
I also would have preferred to not see students in suits doing mba-talk style. They are students with a big idea – nothing wrong with being a bit less formal and connecting more personally. Less pitching & more “natural ” engagement would translate better for them in my view.
PS: I did actually meet them and IRL they are exactly that – engaging and real. BTW my comments also apply to some of the other presenters. Everyone was good – some were great. As a presenter & events organiser myself I know how tricky it can be to get the audience register dialled into just the right zone. Its not easy at all & having a demo fail wouldn’t have helped. 🙂
